The following Terms and Conditions (in addition to the documents referred to in them) govern your use of our website and its related sites, services, applications, and tools. By using Laois Auto Care Ltd you confirm that you both understand these Terms and Conditions and that you agree to abide by them. This document supersedes Terms and Conditions listed on all previously dated documents.

Please read the Terms carefully and if you do not accept the Terms, do not use the Website.
We may need to change the Terms from time to time for a number of reasons (including to comply with applicable laws and regulations, and regulatory requirements). Any minor or insubstantial changes may be made at any time and you are advised to review the Terms on a regular basis. The most up to date Terms will be available on the Website.

The completion of a booking, and the subsequent receipt of a confirmation email for a car service, MOT, NCT check and/or diagnostics and/or repairs or any future offering constitutes a binding contract between the Customer and Laois Auto Care Ltd.

Laois Auto Care Ltd shall provide the customer with detailed costing information of their car servicing before any work is started. All work and costs, including additional work following a garage survey/inspection, must be approved by the customer before said work is carried out.

Unless agreed upon in writing prior to any diagnostics or work/s being completed/carried out on any vehicle/s; all payments due by the customer to Laois Auto Care Ltd should be paid in full when collecting their vehicle.

Secure Payments

Within our business we use SumUp as our choice of merchant services in relation to credit card/debit card transactions in store and remotely.

Security standards [SUMUP]

To protect your transactions from unauthorized access by third parties, SumUp operates in accordance with the highest card payment industry security standards:

PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) is the highest data security standard used in the credit card industry concerning data transfer and data storage.

SSL (Secure Socket Layer) and TLS (Transport Layer Security) are ‘encryption protocols’ that protect data that is transmitted over the internet. We are using 256-bit encryption, the highest possible level at present.

PGP (Pretty Good Privacy) is an international standard for secure personal data storage.

Network security and technology

Due to the fact that the SumUp device encrypts all the information as it reads the card, no unencrypted data is ever stored on both the card reader and your smartphone/tablet during the transaction process. Our team works hard for your security and as such we constantly update all systems to ensure we provide the appropriate levels of protection. Furthermore, we take preventive measures necessary to keep our system secure and our clients’ data safe. As such, we have qualified internal and external teams to test our security systems on a regular basis, and sensitive data is strictly controlled at all times.

Mobile devices and secure payments

SumUp payments are processed in accordance with the highest industry security standards. SumUp’s transaction process ensures that all data is encrypted and transferred to our secure payment server.

In addition, SumUp never stores any sensitive data on mobile devices such as card readers.

Cards used during transactions with us MUST be your own card.

The card being used during your transactions with us must be your own credit/debit card when paying for goods and/or services. If it is not, we will ask you for written verification from the business/company in question prior to its use, if it is a company account credit/debit card.

All charges will be detailed on an invoice and receipt sent to the customer.
